Availability, specifications and pricing are confirmed individually for each enquiry. Listing a product category here does not mean that it is held in stock.
Copper pricing is closely linked to exchange-traded reference prices, so quotations for cathode and semi-finished products are commonly built from a reference price plus a premium or fabrication charge. Understanding how a price is constructed is as important as the headline figure.
We source copper against clearly stated grades and standards — for example Grade A cathode to BS EN 1978 (Cu-CATH-1) or ASTM B115, and semi-finished products in common designations such as Cu-ETP (CW004A) or Cu-DHP (CW024A) — and confirm the price basis, assay and documentation in writing.

Typical applications
- Power cables and conductors
- Busbars, switchgear and earthing
- Plumbing, heating and refrigeration tube
- Motors, transformers and generators
- Roofing, cladding and architectural features
- Electronics and connectors
What to include in your enquiry
- Product form, grade and standard (for example Cu-CATH-1, Cu-ETP, C11000, EN 1057 tube)
- Dimensions, temper and tolerances
- Quantity in metric tonnes and delivery schedule (spot or periodic)
- Preferred price basis and pricing period, if any
- Assay, inspection and documentation requirements
- Destination and preferred Incoterms
| Typical order basis | Metric tonnes. Cathodes are commonly traded in bundles; semis by weight or length. |
|---|---|
| Price basis | Usually a reference price plus premium or fabrication charge. The basis and pricing period are stated in each quotation. |
| Documentation | Certificates of analysis or quality, weight lists, certificates of origin and inspection reports where required. |
| Verification | For high-value metal trades we recommend independent inspection before shipment and secure payment structures. |

Frequently asked questions
How are copper prices quoted?
Typically as a reference market price plus a premium or fabrication charge, against an agreed Incoterm and pricing period. We set out the basis clearly so offers can be compared.
Can you arrange inspection of copper cathodes?
Independent inspection, sampling and assay can be arranged through recognised inspection companies at the buyer's request and cost.
Do you supply copper scrap?
This page covers primary and semi-finished copper products. If you have a scrap requirement, please describe it in your enquiry and we will tell you whether we can help.
Which copper should I use for busbars?
Cu-ETP (CW004A) is the usual choice because of its very high electrical conductivity. If the parts will be brazed or welded in a reducing atmosphere, oxygen-free copper (Cu-OF) may be specified instead.
Why is plumbing tube made from Cu-DHP?
Phosphorus-deoxidised copper (Cu-DHP) can be brazed and soldered reliably, which matters more than maximum conductivity in plumbing and heating systems.
