Steel & industrial metals
Steel wholesale and industrial metals sourcing
Carbon steel, stainless steel and structural products sourced to grade, standard and tolerance for fabricators, manufacturers, stockholders and project buyers.
Steel & Industrial Metals
Availability, specifications and pricing are confirmed individually for each enquiry. Listing a product category here does not mean that it is held in stock.
Steel is bought on specification. Grade, standard, dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, coating and certification determine both price and suitability, and small differences between offers can matter a great deal once material reaches the workshop or site.
We source flat, long and tubular products from mills, processors and stockholders able to supply against recognised standards such as EN, ASTM or equivalent, and we ask for mill test certificates (for example EN 10204 type 3.1) where the application requires traceability.

What to include in your enquiry
- Product form, grade and governing standard (for example EN 10025 S355JR, ASTM A36, EN 10088 1.4404)
- Dimensions and tolerances: thickness, width, length, outside diameter, wall thickness
- Surface finish, coating or heat treatment
- Certification required (for example EN 10204 3.1) and any third-party inspection
- Tonnage, packing (bundles, coils, cut lengths) and delivery schedule
- Destination and preferred Incoterms
| Typical order basis | Metric tonnes, with tolerances on weight and dimensions stated in the quotation. |
|---|---|
| Documentation | Mill test certificates, packing lists, certificates of origin and inspection reports where required. |
| Trade considerations | Steel imports into the UK and EU can be subject to trade-defence measures and quotas. These are checked against origin and product code before quotation. |
| Price basis | Per tonne against an agreed Incoterm, with validity stated in writing. |

Frequently asked questions
Which steel standards can you quote against?
We can request supply against European (EN), American (ASTM/ASME) and other recognised standards. Tell us the standard and grade required and we will confirm whether suitable supply can be found.
Can you provide mill test certificates?
We request mill test certificates from suppliers where the application requires them, typically EN 10204 type 3.1. Third-party inspection can be arranged on request at the buyer's cost.
Do you supply small quantities?
Our focus is wholesale and bulk requirements. Smaller quantities can sometimes be sourced through stockholders; please state your quantity in the enquiry.
What is the difference between S355JR and S355J2?
Both have the same minimum yield strength. The suffix sets impact-toughness testing: JR is tested at +20 °C and J2 at −20 °C. J2 is usually specified for colder environments or dynamically loaded structures.
Should I choose 304 or 316 stainless steel?
304 suits most indoor and food-contact applications. 316 contains molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides, so it is preferred near the coast, with de-icing salts or in some chemical environments. Use the L versions for welded fabrications.
